AWL in collaboration with the Kuala Lumpur Bar Committee (KLBC) had successfully organised a seminar on "Women & the Law", held at the KLBC auditorium on 7th March, 2014.
The workshop was included in an article in Poskod.my titled:
"8 ways to celebrate International Women's Day in Malaysia" which appeared on 5.3.2014.

Friday 7 March. Price: Free for members of the Bar and law students / RM100 for non-members.
Held at the KL Bar Auditorium, KLBC is hosting speeches covering topics for women from sex and gender, violence against women and women and the law. Bringing in experienced members of the Association of Women’s Lawyers – Meera Samanther, President of the Association of Women Lawyers, Goh Siu Lin, Vice President of the Association of Women Lawyers and Tham Hui Ying, Executive member of the Association of Women Lawyers.

The event attracted approximately 75 participants with requests to speak in other State Bars to create greater awareness on these issues.
